Frequently asked questions:

Should I come in if I am sick? Please don't come in if you are sick, even a simple cold, because I am working in close proximity to you which will make it highly likely that I will catch whatever you have. If you have a rash, undiagnosed skin condition or skin infection please do not come in. If you are at the end of an illness, please call and ask. I will not charge you for a cancellation if you are sick!

I was in a car accident, when is massage safe? That all depends on your injuries. Simple injuries (meaning no tears or fractures, just sore muscles) can usually be seen 24 hours faollowing the accident. However, I would prefer you be seen by a doctor first and may not be able to work on you if I feel you have more severe injuries.

Can I pay with a credit card? What forms of payment do you accept? Because I am a small independant office, I have not set up credit card services, however in many cases Ican accept a credit card through paypal. If you choose to use this service, please let me know in advance. Otherwise a personal local check made out to Denise Elliott (no initials, no business name) or cash is fine.

Can you accommodate two people at the same time? Unfortunately I cannot at this time. I only have one massage room available.

Do I have to get naked? No. You only need to undress to your own level of comfort. You will be covered by a sheet at all times and only the area being massaged will be exposed. Many people like to keep their underwear or bras on, but just as many people choose to remove everything.

I have allergies, can you accomodate that? It would be great if you have allergies to oils, fruits or nuts if you would contact me before your scheduled appointment so that I can prepare the appropriate oils for you.

Can someone stay in the room with me? That would be fine. I do ask, however, that you do not bring children with you as the massage room is not child proof.

Will it hurt? Massage should never ever be a painful experience. Some areas might be a little sore, but as long as it is comfortable we can work there. If the massage is causing pain you need to tell me right away and don't be afraid, I want to make this a good experience for you! I will not be offended if you say something hurts.

Should I shower before or after my massage? I would prefer that you shower the same day as your appointment. Presenting a well groomed and clean body is proper massage etiquette.

Do you perform "erotic" services? No. I am a New York State Licensed Massage Therapists. Please do not ask, the massage will be terminated immediately and the full payment for the massage will be due.
